South Campus

The main campus for the Faculty of Humanities is called South Campus and is in Njalsgade and by Karen Blixens Plads in the northern part of the Orestad on Amager.

Please note, that there is no access from Njalsgade, only from Karen Blixens Plads.

Building 4-16

Weekdays: 7.00 - 19.30
Saturdays: 8.00 - 17.00
Sundays: Closed

Building 21-27

Weekdays: 6.00 - 19.30
Saturdays: 7.00 - 19.30
Sundays: Closed

Parking

A parking permit or guest card is required to park in the parking areas at South Campus. No permit is required for disabled parking spaces – only a disabled parking card.

As an employee, you can read more and find out how to obtain a parking permit on KUnet (the intranet). 

As a student, you are not permitted to park at South Campus. Students with a valid disability parking permit may park in the car parks at South Campus. You can find more information about parking under ‘IT and facilities on campus on your programme page (KUnet). 

Students and others may use public parking spaces in the area around the campus. Read more about where you can park and what it costs on the City of Copenhagen’s website.

Public transport

The easiest way to travel to South Campus by public transport is by metro. Take line M1 to Islands Brygge Station. From the station you have a 5-minute walk to the campus area. Alternatively, you can catch line M2 to Amagerbro Station and make the 10 min. walk from there by foot.

Bus line 33 runs from the town hall square to South Campus.

Greenlandic and Arctic Studies Section

Strandgade 100H, DK-1401 Copenhagen K

Catch the metro or a bus to Christianshavns Torv. From here you have a 10-minute walk.
