PhD Courses at the Graduate School

Here you find information about generic PhD courses offered by the Graduate School at the Faculty of Humanities as well as detailed information about preparatory course work and how to register.

Admittance to the courses is on a first come, first served basis. After the registration deadline you will be informed whether you have been admitted to the course.

All courses will be held in English except for the courses on disseminating research results to a broader Danish audience. Courses may be conducted in Danish if all attending PhD students understand and speak Danish.

Courses are also open for PhD students enrolled at other graduate schools of the University of Copenhagen or other universities on the payment of a fee (DKK 1,200 for 1 ECTS course point); however, priority is given to students enrolled at the Faculty of Humanities. PhD students who are not enrolled at the Graduate School of the Faculty of Humanities but interested in registering for one or more PhD courses should contact the PhD Centre for further information and registration (phdcenter@hum.ku.dk).

You will only be awarded ECTS points for courses that have been completed without absence. In case of partial absence, you will need to retake the entire course when it is repeated.

All courses start at the time stated and not a quarter of an hour after the advertised time.

Please contact the PhD Centre if you have any further questions.
