Guidance options
The University of Copenhagen has a wide range of guidance options available for prospective and current students. This page will tell you where to go to get the information and guidance you need. All guidance units at the University of Copenhagen give independent guidance and all talks are confidential.
Department Student Guidance Centers at the Faculty of Humanities
At the centres the international guidance counsellor can help you with your studies, choices in your course of studies, doubts about your course of studies and thoughts about career. You can also talk to us about personal problems which affect your studies. We counsel in rules relating to exams, complaints, applications to the faculty and questions about MA admissions. We also offer counselling specifically aimed at international students.

Full-degree student guidance counsellors
If you have any practical questions both before and during your stay we are here to help. It could be questions concerning how many hours you are allowed to work on a student visa, how to find a place to stay, what to pack, where to buy cheap food, where to meet Danish as well as other international students, financial issues etc. No question is too big or too small. If we are not able to answer your questions personally we will make sure that you will be directed to someone who can.
Contact us by phone +45 4047 1197 or mail or visit our homepage for more general information.

If you feel you may be suffering from fear, anxiety or depression, have problems with your family, suffer grief or experience problems working together with other students, financial difficulties or other matters which seriously affect your studies, the Student Counselling Service is staffed by psychologists and social workers who are ready to help.
